The Hub Belfast
(Church of Ireland & Methodist Chaplaincy @ QUB)

This new role will be responsible for discipleship, formation and development across staff, interns and volunteers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overseeing pastoral care.
This is a Senior Team Leader role, working alongside the Chaplain to oversee the implementation of our key priorities and vision. It will require a high level of personal, emotion and spiritual maturity, and a proven track record of developing and training individuals and teams.

This role will oversee and coordinate activity to encourage and enable the growth of Christian community across the chaplaincy’s mission area. The Community Team Leader will serve within our existing core communities – namely the student residential centre and Church of the Resurrection – and will seek to develop and grow new communities of fellowship and discipleship in line with our broader vision across Belfast.
The successful candidate should have a heart and call for such a ministry, would value and enhance the culture of the chaplaincy, and have significant experience of ministry with students and/or young adults. This role will seek to encourage and enable missional outreach activity across the chaplaincy area, with a desire to reach out to all people, regardless of faith, ethnic, religious, cultural or moral background in a multi-cultural and diverse city. The Outreach Team Leader will develop and grow evangelism
The successful candidate will have a vision to develop and grow outreach that is God honouring, Christ-centred and Spirit led. They will seek to develop new and innovative ways of reaching people where they are at, in settings that are perhaps unfamiliar or set apart from current chaplaincy premises. Strandtown Baptist Church Youth Internship Application


Our internship scheme is an opportunity to devote 10 months to intentionally growing in your own personal discipleship, developing your gifting, and benefiting from training intended to nurture your spiritual health, prepare you to lead and equip you with useful practical skills and experience.

This is a voluntary 10 month scheme that runs from Sept-June, on a part-time basis (Mon, Tues, Wed plus placement hours – see application form for more details), featuring training and input provided in-house and in partnership with external organisations, such as Cornhill Belfast.

We are currently offering an internship in the area of youth ministry, which will include experience and opportunities to develop and lead programmes including small groups and larger youth environments, as well as practice in teaching the Bible, developing leaders, organising events and providing one-to-one discipleship with young people. The course also features ongoing mentoring and some directed reading.


We are looking for someone who is hungry to learn and make the most of all of the input and experience that this opportunity provides.

If you are 18-25 and a motivated self-starter, with a passion for working with young people, serving the church and growing in your own relationship with God, then this could be the opportunity for you.

Applicants should be committed Christians, who affirm the church’s statement of faith and have demonstrated competency and interest in working with teenagers, in a way that fits the Church’s ethos and works well with other staff.

This scheme is suitable for those who may wish to explore full-time ministry in the future or those who wish to grow in discipleship and gifting to build the Kingdom in their everyday life.


  • Theology/Bible Teaching: inc. training at Cornhill Belfast
  • Spiritual health: inc. identity, intimacy in prayer and worship, spiritual formation, self-care and character development.
